http://paranormalwastelands.blogspot.com/2011/11/bloggerhood-of-traveling-book-tour-key.html

**The Key is only available in Australia**

A teenage girl suffering from a family tragedy, Maddie Clevenger is oblivious to the ancient mystery surrounding her. She's young and incredibly unlucky, in life and in love. She should be enjoying her senior year of high school, but instead she is tormented by a reoccurring nightmare and a very real stalker. But all that changes when Chase Donovan, an Air Force brat with a protective streak, shows up at school. Will Chase be the key to helping her solve her stalker problem? Will he be the key to solving the mystery surrounding her family's past?

Read’s Review

So... this is a good book. A bit tame in the s.e.x department, but hey, this is Y.A. we are talking about! The  love triangle is good. Felicia, made sure to have both the light and the dark romantic interests. Though at first the 'dark" love interest, Dougal, is very creepy! I would have for sure reported it to someone! Ms. Rogers  leaves me wanting more of Dougal's back history. The guy has been around for a hundred years.
Chase, the "light" love interest, is so chivalrous and respectful it is amazing! Yes, he is wonderful when meeting Maddie's Great Grandma! How many men out there can say they treat women this well?!
Maddies's a great character kind and loving, almost to a fault. She is a bit timid, yet you realize she is young and some of the womanly strength you might expect, will only come through experience. Grandma Draoi provides Maddie her motherly strength.
Felicia Rogers just touched on many of the characters history. Again, personally I like to find out a little more back story in regards to a few characters.
Though love grows between Chase and Maddie pretty quickly, it is not forced by the author and feels legit. Which is a wonderful. The Key is a fun read that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy all over!

Feature and Follow Friday

Q: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran’s Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

Currently I don't believe I know anyone in the military! But, I do know and love several veteran's!
People that have severed our country, and have spent time away from their families to keep us and others safe. This is a selfless act even when they (Veterans) think it's not.
I may not always support the political reasons for our military to be out there. I always support the men and women who chose to protect us.
Fictional soldier, James Alexander McKenzie Fraser, I absolutely LOVE the Outlander Series! Jamie Fraser, Was trained from a young age how to fight and protect his home. Jamie Fraser is just an amazing man, however fictional he maybe! Yes, he's Scottish, just like me! **wink**

Review of Cyndi Tefft's Between...

BetweenBetween by Cyndi Tefft

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sometimes death is just the beginning...

It just figures that the love of Lindsey Water's life isn't alive at all, but the grim reaper, complete with a dimpled smile and Scottish accent.

After transporting souls to heaven for the last 300 years, Aiden MacRae has all but given up on finding the one whose love will redeem him and allow him entry through the pearly gates.

Torn between her growing attraction to Aiden and heaven's siren song, Lindsey must learn the hard way whether love really can transcend all boundaries.

Cyndi Tefft really did a great job with this story! Though I felt a bit odd that I could be related to this fictional character, Aiden MacRea.

So, my daughter awoke about 3:30 this morning and I was UP, no going back to sleep. I decide to read...and so very glad that I did, because I found Between very emotional and moving.

I admit it, I cried for almost 3 hours straight. The amount of love that Lindsey and Aiden share is just wonderful. You either have love like this or you wish you did!

Lindsey's moments of realization that the world isn't what it seems when we are young, is well done. Honestly, I've had several epiphanies like this growing up. Someone you think is wonderful really isn't etc.
Oh, did I mention the deleted shower scene? HOT, HOT, HOT!
Cyndi has inspired me in love life and writing.
I really loved this story.
Be on the look out for Between 2 Hell Transporter

Chicagoland Vampires is my go to series! Chloe Neill has created an excitement with this series that I can not contain. November 1st is the release of the newest edition to the series, Drink Deep. I am squealing, bouncing up and down in my seat like a little kid who needs to pee! Yes, I am excited!!!!!

With out further ado, please have a glass, or a box, of hot blood and check out a few of my favorite Chicagoland Vampire quotes.

“Stop. That was a mistake. It shouldn’t have happened."
No?" "No."
I could offer you more.”
What?”
Power. Access. Rewards. You’d need be available only to me.”
Are you asking me to be your mistress?”
Yes.”
Oh, my God.”
Is that a yes?”
No, Ethan, Jesus. Definitely not.”
― Chloe NeillSome Girls Bite

“Can you at least pretend to be professional today?”
Lindsey stopped, glanced back at Luc. “You show me professional, and I’ll
show you professional.”
Luc snorted, but his expression was gleeful. “Sweetheart, you wouldn’t know
professional if it bit you on the ass.”
“I prefer my bites in other places.”
“Is that an invitation?”
“If only you were so lucky, cowboy.”
“Lucky? Hooking up with me would be the luckiest day of your life, Blondie.”
― Chloe NeillFriday Night Bites

“Dear God,”
“It should be illegal for smug vampires to look that good,” Lindsey said, clucking her tongue.
“That is so true,” I agreed, thinking a little less hotness would make my relationship with Ethan a lot simpler.”
― Chloe NeillTwice Bitten

“Vamps are really only like ten percent fun at any given time. The other ninety percent is largely fretting. And bloodletting.”
― Chloe NeillHard Bitten

NaNoWriMo...It's heeeerrrreeee...

This will be my first year participating in National Novel Writing Month! I heard of NaNoWriMo a couple of years ago from an author that I enjoy reading. At the time I didn't realize anyone could join. I thought it would be so cool to write a book, a novel, a short story, a letter to my mom, hell  even my own name, just ANYTHING!
At one point I had a though, WOW! wouldn't be so fucking cool to right something profound! HHHMMMM...profound, profound, profound, nope. I got nothing! OK, so the likelihood that me, Read, will actually write something profound, is pretty slim. Alright stop snickering over there, not anywhere close to a hairs breadth. HAHAHA! Right you're surprised I even know what profound means!
**read makes profane gesture**
Anyway!
So not profound, but it could be fun! I used to write all the time and fell out habit. Old people do that from time to time. We forget the things that make us really feel to the tips of our toes. Like your first kiss, first love, or maybe even your first real fight! These things that bring fire and passion into our lives. OK, us oldies still have stuff like that, but it's harder to impress us sometimes.
So without further or due in less than 1 hour we will be kicking of the 2011 NaNoWriMo!
This is not about being profound this about having fun, and challenging yourself to a new adventure!
Let's get ready to RUMPUUUS!

Until next time,
